Political Representatives Attend Public Meeting in Suffolk Estate
In response to concerns raised over the last number of months by residents in Suffolk estate, West Belfast, representatives from the DUP, UUP, PUP, TUV and UKIP attended a public meeting this evening hosted by the UPRG and attended by around 100 residents.
Those in attendance heard concerns about sectarian attacks and intimidation from republicans, dissatisfaction with the police response and the lack of security for the small Protestant enclave.
The residents are demanding positive action by the PSNI and want senior officers to meet with them to address these issues. The residents also raised concerns about receiving no support whatsoever from the MP, MLAs and Councillors elected for their area.
